Our role

PingRoam is a software platform, not a telecommunications operator. We provide the website and app you use to discover, purchase, and manage eSIM data plans. We do not operate a mobile network, hold a telecom operating license, or issue physical SIM cards.

Who provides the connectivity

The actual mobile data connectivity delivered through eSIM profiles sold on PingRoam is provided by licensed third-party telecommunications partners. Our current network partner is eSIM Access, which provisions, activates, and delivers network connectivity for the eSIM profiles you purchase through our platform. eSIM Access works with local and regional mobile network operators to provide coverage in each destination we list.

What this means for you

  • When you buy an eSIM data plan on PingRoam, you're purchasing a digital product whose connectivity is fulfilled by our licensed telecom partner, not by PingRoam directly.
  • Network coverage, speeds, and quality in any given country depend on the local carrier partnerships our provider maintains there, not on PingRoam.
  • PingRoam's responsibility covers the software layer: browsing and checkout, order processing, digital delivery of your eSIM profile, your account dashboard, and customer support.
  • Our provider's responsibility covers the telecom layer: network provisioning, activation, and connectivity.

Why we work this way

Building a marketplace on top of licensed telecom infrastructure lets us offer coverage across 179+ countries without operating our own mobile network in any of them — which would require separate telecom licensing in every jurisdiction. Instead, our partners hold the relevant licenses and carrier agreements, and we focus on making it simple to find, buy, and use an eSIM.
